High-Strength Fireproof Fabric Silicone: Empowering Safety Upgrades

Hits: 827 img

In fireproof materials, the bond between substrate and coating determines performance. A new addition-cure silicone developed for high-strength fireproof fabric is now a key enabler for quality upgrades—thanks to its unique blend of strength and flexibility.

Its standout feature is “smart shaping.” During application, it spreads like smooth cream over fiberglass—perfect for scraping or dipping. Once applied, it sets quickly without dripping—reducing waste and labor, and boosting efficiency.

For fireproof fabric, adhesion is key. This silicone bonds tightly to fiberglass, forming an inseparable protective layer—like invisible armor. The cured white layer has a moderate hardness, 5.5 MPa tensile strength, and 16 kN/m tear resistance—withstanding impact and friction without damage.

Ease of use is another benefit. A/B two-part, 1:1 by weight. No special tools—just mix and apply. Storage is simple: 12 months below 23°C. Even expired, it can be used if tested—reducing inventory pressure.

Beyond fireproof fabric, it’s ideal for pipe coatings, insulation sleeves, and more—making it a versatile upgrade for protective applications.
