In building material coating workshops, workers often face such troubles: materials are either too thin and prone to flowing and wasting, or too thick and difficult to apply evenly. However, the emergence of a new type of silicone material is solving these construction pain points with its "smart" characteristics, doubling the efficiency of scraping and dipping operations.
The most surprising feature of this material is its "shaping wisdom". Just like dough that can be easily kneaded without collapsing, it can spread smoothly along tools during construction, evenly covering the surface of substrates such as glass fiber cloth. After stopping the operation, it can quickly "set" and will not flow randomly along the gaps of the cloth, greatly reducing material loss and rework rates. This characteristic is technically called "thixotropy", which means a more material-saving and efficient processing process for production enterprises.
In addition to being easy to shape, its "adhesion" to substrates is also excellent. When coated on glass fiber cloth, it can firmly adhere to the surface of each fiber, forming a tightly bonded protective layer after curing, without peeling or falling off. This means that protective materials produced with it are more durable in long-term use, reducing performance degradation caused by coating detachment.
The "strong combination" of the material is also reflected in its mixing and use. It is divided into two components, A and B, which can be simply mixed in a 1:1 weight ratio without complex proportion calculation, saving time and effort for workers during operation. The mixed material has moderate viscosity, neither too thick to cause coating difficulties nor too thin to affect setting, further ensuring smooth construction.
The performance after curing is even more reassuring. The protective layer it forms has moderate hardness, like an elastic "protective film", which can stretch to 2.5 times its original length without breaking and is not easy to damage when facing daily friction and collision. This toughness makes it suitable for various scenarios: in addition to fire-resistant cloth, it can also play a role in fields such as pipeline anti-corrosion coating and equipment heat insulation layer production, putting "durable armor" on different substrates.
In terms of storage, it is also very "worry-free". Unopened, it can be stored for 12 months in an environment below 23℃. Even if it exceeds the shelf life, it can still be used after passing simple inspection, greatly reducing the inventory management pressure of enterprises. This "obedient" silicone material is becoming a capable assistant in the coating processing industry with its construction convenience and stable performance, making production more efficient and products more reliable.
