High-Efficiency Molding Silicone Material: Optimizing Production Processes for Protective Products

Hits: 814 img

The production efficiency and quality of protective products largely depend on the molding performance of coating materials. A room-temperature vulcanizing silicone material specially developed for high-strength fire-resistant cloth, with its excellent thixotropy and stable processing performance, has become a capable assistant in optimizing production processes for protective products, providing strong support for enterprises to reduce costs and increase efficiency.

Thixotropy is the "core competitiveness" of this material. Simply put, during construction, the material can flow smoothly with tools, easily covering the surface of substrates such as glass fiber cloth to ensure uniform coating; when the operation stops, it quickly sets without flowing through substrate gaps, effectively avoiding the problem of traditional materials being "either too thin and wasteful or too thick and difficult to apply." This "controllable" characteristic makes processes like scraping and dipping more smoothy, reducing post-processing work and significantly improving production efficiency.

The material’s ratio design fully considers production convenience. It adopts an A/B two-component design with a 1:1 weight ratio, requiring no complex calculations. Ordinary workers can master the operation proficiently after simple training. The packaging specifications of 2Kg/barrel for Component A and 200Kg/barrel for Component B can flexibly adapt to the needs of different production scales, meeting both small-batch trial production and large-scale mass production. After mixing, the material’s viscosity stabilizes at 85,500mPa·s, compatible with existing coating equipment to ensure production continuity.

The performance after curing is equally reliable: the white protective layer reaches a hardness of Shore A 50, combining toughness and strength. A tensile strength of 5.5MPa and a tear strength of 16KN/m ensure that the produced protective products can resist friction and impact during long-term use; a 250% elongation rate makes the products more resistant to bending, extending their service life. In addition, the material has excellent adhesion to glass fiber cloth, with no peeling or falling off after curing, improving product qualification rates from the source.

Storage and management are also convenient: unopened, it can be stored for 12 months at temperatures below 23°C, and the packaging label clearly marks the expiration date for easy inventory management. Even if it exceeds the shelf life, it can still be used after passing performance testing, reducing material waste. Whether in fire-resistant cloth production or other protective product processing, this material optimizes production processes with its high-efficiency molding capabilities.
