As the demand for fire safety continues to rise, a high-performance flame-retardant material often builds a critical defense line for product safety. Recently, a flame-retardant silicone rubber (HCR) that meets flame-retardant standards with a thickness of only 2mm has stood out in the field of flame-retardant product manufacturing due to its multiple high-performance features, becoming a "reliable assistant" for many enterprises to create safe products. The core advantage of this flame-retardant silicone rubber lies in its "halogen-free flame retardancy and excellent flame-retardant performance". Some traditional flame-retardant materials may contain halogens, which tend to release harmful gases when burned. This not only endangers human health but also pollutes the environment. In contrast, this silicone rubber adopts a halogen-free formula. Even when exposed to high-temperature combustion, it reduces the generation of harmful gases, making it more in line with modern environmental protection and safety requirements. What’s more noteworthy is that it only needs a thickness of 2mm to meet the V-0 flame-retardant standard. This means the material can self-extinguish quickly after combustion, without sustained burning or dripping flames. It effectively prevents the spread of fire and buys valuable time for personnel evacuation and property protection. Its high-strength feature gives it greater advantages in practical scenarios. Many flame-retardant products not only need to be fire-resistant but also have to withstand external forces such as friction and collision during daily use. This silicone rubber has a maximum tensile strength of 6.0MPa, acting like a "strong armor" for products, and is not easy to break even under large tensile forces. Its tear strength is stably maintained at 12-14KN/m, with excellent damage resistance, which can keep the product in a complete shape for a long time and avoid the loss of flame-retardant effect due to material damage. Whether used to make flame-retardant seals for electrical equipment or fire-proof accessories in the construction field, it can maintain stable and reliable performance. It also performs outstandingly in the production and processing process. Following the standard process of "adding 1% of dicumyl peroxide curing agent with 50% content, and heating at 175℃ under 15MPa pressure for 5 minutes", it can be quickly cured and formed, suitable for industrial mass production. Moreover, it has passed the strict RoHS test, indicating that the material does not contain harmful substances such as lead and mercury. This not only complies with global environmental protection regulations but also ensures the safety of end-users, allowing enterprises to produce with greater confidence. From the perspective of typical data, products of different grades (HTV-8550 to HTV-8580) can meet diverse needs. Their hardness ranges from Shore 50 to Shore 80, which can be flexibly selected according to product feel and structural requirements. HTV-8550 has an elongation rate of 380%, suitable for scenarios requiring high elasticity; HTV-8580 has higher hardness and stronger stability, suitable for products with high structural strength requirements. It is believed that with the continuous expansion of application scenarios, this flame-retardant silicone rubber will inject new impetus into the safety upgrading of more industries.
