It works like whipping cream: Components A and B are poured together in a 1:1 ratio, stirred for 30 seconds, and at room temperature, the mixture expands 2–6 times on its own, with a density as low as 0.2 g/cm³. It’s like turning a cup of water into a large marshmallow, yet it retains silicone’s high-temperature resistance. Even after 7 days in an aging chamber at 300°C, its rebound resilience remains above 70%.
"Before, making sealing strips required heavy punching machines, adhesive backing, and edge trimming, with dust flying like snow. Now, we just pour it into custom molds, and it sets in 20 minutes, with zero waste," shared a headlight factory. They crunched the numbers: a single production line now reduces waste by 3 kg per day, saving ¥120,000 annually on materials, while also cutting workshop noise by 10 decibels.
Even more impressive is its "shock-absorption buff." A 10 mm foam strip can be compressed to 3 mm and rebounds in just 1 second. Under continued pressure of 5 tons/m², it still doesn’t crack—perfectly replacing traditional chloroprene rubber foam. From new energy battery packs and 5G base station casings to drone rotor mounts, wherever the combination of lightweight + softness + heat resistance is needed, this material makes its appearance.
It also excels in household applications: DIY enthusiasts use it to fill hiking backpack straps, reducing pack weight by 80 g. Coffee machine manufacturers employ it as steam pipe insulation, lowering surface temperatures by 30°C—no more burned hands.
From industrial sealing to everyday creativity, this "breathable" silicone cloud is redefining shock-absorbing materials with its lightness and elasticity. Advanced protection doesn’t always require heavy armor—a 0.2-gram cloud can also safeguard a delicate world.
