According to reports from SMM (Shanghai Metals Market), driven by consecutive methanol price increases on the cost side, silicone monomer enterprises have raised quotations for two consecutive days. After monomer plant quotations rose broadly by 500 RMB/ton, producers raised prices by another 200 RMB/ton. Mainstream monomer plant DMC quotations stand at 14,700–14,900 RMB/ton, raw rubber at 15,700–16,000 RMB/ton, and silicone oil at around 16,000 RMB/ton.
In the silicone rubber spot market, according to Mysteel and Longzhong Information data, 107 silicone rubber prices are referenced at 14,000–14,500 RMB/ton, with mainstream raw rubber references at 14,800–15,200 RMB/ton. On the supply side, some silicone rubber manufacturers are complying with meeting negotiation requirements, with quotations continuing to edge upward on a narrow range, while some downstream customers maintain a wait-and-see procurement stance.
In terms of specific company quotations, Zhejiang Xinan's 70,000 tons/year 107 silicone rubber facility is quoted at 14,500 RMB/ton, with the plant operating at controlled load; Hubei Xingfa's 70,000 tons/year 107 silicone rubber is also quoted at 14,500 RMB/ton; Shandong Dongyue's 230,000 tons/year 107 silicone rubber facility is operating at controlled load, quoted at 14,200 RMB/ton; Inner Mongolia Hengyecheng's 60,000 tons/year raw rubber facility is operating at controlled load, quoted at 15,000 RMB/ton.
On the supply side, mainstream manufacturers continue to comply with meeting negotiation requirements, with facilities mostly operating at controlled load. On the cost side, methanol, one of the core raw materials for silicone, has seen consecutive price increases that exert direct transmission pressure on monomer production costs. With silicone product quotations rising rapidly in the short term, downstream users' apprehension toward high prices has increased, and the market is watching downstream procurement willingness and actual order follow-through.
Of notable interest, August silicone intermediate output declined month-on-month while apparent consumption increased month-on-month, indicating the industry is in a destocking phase. According to a Huaxin Securities research report, after experiencing earlier capacity expansion, the supply side of the silicone industry is currently in a phase of capacity digestion and structural optimization, with the supportive effect of coordinated industry production cuts on prices gradually emerging.
