Low-Viscosity Addition-Cured Silicone Rubber: An Efficient Material Choice for Fireproof Cloth Production

Hits: 835 img

A low-viscosity addition-cured silicone rubber developed for high-strength fireproof cloth has become an ideal material in the production and processing of fireproof cloth with its excellent construction performance and stable product quality. Its scientific formula design effectively solves the problems of low construction efficiency and insufficient adhesion of traditional materials.

Excellent Thixotropy: Improving Construction Efficiency
The most significant advantage of this material is its excellent thixotropy. It is not easy to flow during construction processes such as scraping and dipping, can be quickly shaped, greatly reduces the rework rate, and improves production efficiency. Components A and B are mixed in a 1:1 weight ratio, which is simple and easy to control, and uniform mixing can be ensured without complex measuring tools.
The viscosity of component A is 100,000 mPa·s, and that of component B is 80,000 mPa·s. After mixing, the viscosity stabilizes at 85,500 mPa·s. The moderate viscosity enables the material to evenly cover the substrate and facilitate construction operations, reducing the labor intensity of workers.

Strong Adhesion Performance: Ensuring Product Durability
The material has good adhesion to glass fiber cloth. After construction, it can closely adhere to the surface of the substrate, and it is not easy to delaminate or warp after curing. This characteristic allows the fireproof cloth to maintain structural integrity during long-term use and repeated folding, extending the service life of the product.
After curing, the material has a hardness of 50 Shore A, a tensile strength of 5.5 MPa, an elongation at break of 250%, and a tear strength of 16 KN/m. A number of mechanical performance indicators are balanced, ensuring that the finished product can stand the test of external forces during use.

Flexible Storage Scheme: Reducing Use Costs
In terms of storage, the material shows good stability and can be stored for 12 months in an unopened bucket at a temperature below 23°C. The best use date marked on the outer packaging is convenient for inventory management. Even if it exceeds the shelf life, it can continue to be used after passing the performance test to confirm that the indicators are qualified, reducing unnecessary material loss and saving costs for production enterprises.
