In daily life, issues like car bodies covered in mud, water stains lies on glass surfaces, and furniture contaminated by graffiti are common occurrences. A new type of organopolysilazane coating material, with its magical "water-repellent and anti-fouling" properties, is equipping various object surfaces with an "invisible protective umbrella," making cleaning and maintenance easy and simple.
The most impressive feature of this material is its "lotus leaf effect" water-repellent ability. The cured coating has a contact angle of 100°-105°, just like the surface of a lotus leaf—water droplets roll off automatically without leaving water stains. This characteristic makes surfaces like cars and glass less likely to accumulate dust and mud; during rain, the water can wash away surface stains, reducing the frequency of cleaning. Even more impressive is its anti-graffiti performance: stains from markers, paints, etc., hardly penetrate the coating and can be easily wiped off, making it especially suitable for protecting furniture and walls in public places.
Easy application is another major advantage. The material itself has extremely low viscosity, only 10-40 cp, making it as easy to apply as a dilute solution. Whether through spraying, brushing, or dipping, it can be operated effortlessly. It can "bond closely" with various substrates such as metal, glass, plastic, and ceramics, forming a strong connection with the substrate surface through its special molecular structure. It won’t peel off even in cross-cut adhesion tests, solving the problem of traditional coatings being prone to peeling.
The curing method is also very flexible: it can cure naturally at room temperature, with the surface drying in 30-50 minutes and full curing in 24 hours. For urgent use, heating can accelerate the process—curing can be completed by baking at 120-180°C for 2-6 hours, or even at 200-250°C for just 10-20 minutes, meeting production needs in different scenarios. The cured coating can reach a maximum hardness of 7H, with super scratch resistance, so daily friction won’t leave marks easily.
From automotive coatings to glass protection, from furniture surfaces to public facility equipment, this material, with its water-repellent, anti-fouling, easy-to-apply, and strong bonding properties, is becoming a "secret weapon" to enhance surface performance, making various items both durable and easy to maintain.
