Worried About "Delicate" Clothing Labels? This Silicone Rubber Makes Labels Durable and Attractive

Hits: 770 img

If clothing labels are prone to yellowing or cracking, it not only harms the garment’s texture but also makes consumers doubt its quality. The IOTA-1XXXA/B Series liquid silicone rubber, developed specifically for clothing labels, uses outstanding durability and aesthetics to free clothing labels from being "delicate"—withstanding daily wear while maintaining a high-quality appearance.

First, let’s look at its basic performance. As a two-component adhesive, Component A and Component B are used together, with each of the three models serving distinct purposes:
- 1035A/B has the softest hardness (40±2 Shore A), feeling as soft as fabric when attached to close-fitting clothing and avoiding skin irritation.
- 1123A/B has a slightly higher hardness (52±2 Shore A), suitable for labels on outerwear, luggage, and other items requiring wear resistance.
- 1054A/B (45±2 Shore A) is the "mid-range option," adapting to most clothing scenarios.

Regardless of the model, the physical performance after vulcanization is impressive:
- Tensile strength ≥4.2 MPa: Even when the label is pulled forcefully, it can withstand significant tension without damage.
- Elongation rate up to 320%: If the label is accidentally stretched, it rebounds to its original shape when released.
- Tear strength ≥18 kN/m: Daily friction or snags during wear won’t easily tear the label, ensuring maximum durability.

Its "aesthetic advantages" are also prominent. It is translucent by nature, and after coloring, the hue is full and uniform—no uneven color blocks or color differences. For example, when making brand logos, it accurately reproduces brand colors, enhancing label recognition. With high yellowing resistance, even after multiple washes or long-term sun exposure, the label won’t yellow or fade, retaining its bright color. The linear shrinkage rate is stably around 2.1%: the finished label matches the designed size exactly after vulcanization, preventing pattern deformation or blurred letters caused by shrinkage—ensuring every label is as exquisite as the design.

It also excels in production efficiency. Vulcanization is fast: regular labels can be shaped in 18 seconds at 180°C; for thicker or larger labels, simply adjusting the temperature and time suffices. Its good fluidity easily fills the fine patterns of molds—even small logos or English abbreviations on labels are clearly formed, with no missing corners or incomplete printing. Defoaming is also simple: small bubbles generated during adhesive mixing can be eliminated with basic treatment, leaving the label surface smooth and flat, free of unsightly pits.

When using it, just remember a few key points:
Component A and Component B must be mixed at a 10:1 ratio—incorrect ratios will affect vulcanization results.
Use separate tools for dispensing Component A and B to prevent premature mixing and clumping.
Mixed adhesive must be used within 1.5 hours at 25°C; in higher temperatures, it should be used even faster.

It comes in multiple packaging sizes for easy storage, with a 12-month shelf life. Thanks to this silicone rubber, clothing enterprises no longer have to worry about the durability and aesthetics of their labels.
