"Products are too brittle and easy to break", "Prone to deformation under high temperatures", "Aging and yellowing after long-term use" — in the resin and plastic processing industries, many enterprises have experienced such "shortcoming anxiety". However, now the emergence of terminal phenolic-modified silicone oil (IOTA 28723/28724/28725/28729) provides a "one-stop solution" to these problems.

Starting with its basic properties, this silicone oil is a transparent oily liquid, with colors ranging from colorless to light reddish-brown. It has a uniform texture without precipitates or floccules, and can maintain a stable state whether mixed with resin or independently formulated into additives. The key performance parameters are also very "user-friendly": at 25°C, the density ranges from 0.970 to 0.990 g/cm³, which is not much different from the density of water, so enterprises do not need complex conversions when calculating the dosage; the refractive index is between 1.406 and 1.430, which is close to that of most transparent resins. After mixing, it will not affect the light transmittance of the finished product, making it particularly suitable for manufacturing transparent products.

In terms of viscosity, it offers four "levels": the IOTA 28723 model has the lowest viscosity (60-120 mm²/s) and good fluidity, suitable for processes that require rapid dispersion; the IOTA 28729 model has the highest viscosity (190-230 mm²/s), suitable for scenarios that require slightly higher viscosity; the intermediate models IOTA 28724 (70-130 mm²/s) and IOTA 28725 (100-160 mm²/s) can meet most conventional needs. Moreover, its volatile content is ≤1.0%, which means that during high-temperature processing, there is almost no reduction in dosage or generation of harmful impurities due to volatilization; the chromaticity is also well-controlled, especially for the three models 28724, 28725, and 28729, with chromaticity ≤50 Pt-Co, which can maximize the purity of the finished product's appearance without causing color defects.

Its "core advantage" lies in the design of "phenolic group termination". Phenolic groups are like "performance optimizers" for materials: on the one hand, they have high reactivity and can "deeply integrate" with resins such as polycarbonate, polyester, and polyurethane — either becoming part of the resin molecules or dispersing evenly in the resin; on the other hand, phenolic groups themselves have strong heat resistance and anti-aging capabilities, which can "transfer" these advantages to the modified materials. For example, polycarbonate modified with it not only has better flexibility and is less likely to break when dropped, but also can be used at higher temperatures and is less prone to aging and yellowing when exposed to the air for a long time; the durability and stability of modified polyester and polyurethane will also be significantly improved.

In addition to modifying resins, it also has "side applications": it can be used to formulate lubricating oils to make machinery operate more smoothly; when used as a release agent, it allows plastic and resin finished products to be easily demolded while maintaining a bright surface. It is available in three packaging specifications: 20KG, 200KG, and 1000KG. When stored in a sealed container at room temperature, it can be preserved for 24 months. For enterprises seeking to solve material shortcomings and enhance product competitiveness, this terminal phenolic-modified silicone oil is undoubtedly a "timely help" material.
