For garment enterprises, the durability and aesthetics of labels are important reflections of product texture. The IOTA-1XXXA/B series liquid silicone rubber for garment labels provides stable quality assurance for garment labels with its multiple model options and excellent performance, adapting to the needs of different garment scenarios.
The product is a two-component addition-type liquid silicone rubber. The three models have different performance focuses to meet diverse production needs:
- IOTA-1035A/B has the lowest hardness after vulcanization (40±2 Shore A) and a soft, conformable texture, suitable for labels on close-fitting clothing such as underwear and children’s clothing to avoid skin friction.
- IOTA-1123A/B has the highest hardness (52±2 Shore A) and stronger wear resistance, applicable to labels on high-contact items such as outerwear and luggage.
- IOTA-1054A/B has a moderate hardness (45±2 Shore A), making it an ideal choice for labels on casual wear and formal wear.
In terms of physical properties, all three models perform exceptionally well. The minimum tensile strength reaches 4.2MPa, meaning the label can withstand large pulling forces without damage—even if the label is accidentally snagged during wear, it won’t break easily. The maximum elongation can reach 320%, allowing it to quickly return to its original shape after bending and folding, and the label won’t crack due to deformation during daily activities. The tear strength is uniformly ≥18KN/m, so the edge of the label won’t be easily damaged when exposed to friction or collision, extending its service life. The linear shrinkage rate is stably around 2.1%, so production can be carried out according to the designed size, and there is no need to worry about dimensional deviations after molding, ensuring the label fits the garment properly.
In terms of appearance and practicality, the product’s translucent base ensures uniform coloring. After adding color paste, colors can be presented accurately without color blocks or color differences, helping brands create highly recognizable label images. Another highlight is its high yellowing resistance—even if the garment is washed multiple times or exposed to the sun for a long time, the label can maintain its original color without yellowing, fading, or other issues that affect its appearance. At the same time, the product has good fluidity, which can easily fill the details of the mold. Whether it’s complex patterns or small text marks, they can be clearly molded, enhancing the delicacy of the label.
During use, simply follow the strict ratio of 10:1 (Component A to Component B) for mixing to ensure the vulcanization effect. The mixed rubber compound can be safely stored for 1.5 hours at 25°C, facilitating batch preparation and use. If the ambient temperature rises, the storage time should be appropriately shortened to prevent the rubber compound from curing in advance. The tools used for taking Component A and Component B must be separated or cleaned thoroughly to prevent premature mixing and caking of the two components, which would affect usage.
The packaging specifications are flexible: the combination of Component A (20KG/200KG) and Component B (1KG/20KG) meets the needs of enterprises of different production scales. When stored in a cool and dry place with a temperature ≤37°C, the shelf life is 12 months, which is convenient for enterprises to plan inventory reasonably and ensure production continuity.
