​Fast and Flexible! Choose Any Curing Method for This Coating

When applying coatings to objects, some people want rapid curing to speed up progress, while others need low-temperature curing to protect the substrate. If a coating has only a single curing method, it will always be a hassle. However, the IOTA 9108 organopolysilazane coating not only supports heat curing but also UV curing. With multiple curing methods for flexible switching, plus advantages like low viscosity and strong adhesion, it easily adapts to different construction needs.  

Its curing methods are like a "multi-gear switch," adjustable on demand: Want to finish quickly? Choose UV curing—it can set the coating in a short time, and the coating maintains stable performance at room temperature, making it especially suitable for mass production on assembly lines, such as rapid coating of plastic parts and electronic components. Need curing at medium to low temperatures? Add a platinum catalyst, and it can be baked and cured at temperatures above 80°C without damaging heat-sensitive substrates, such as coatings for plastics (PP, PC, etc.). If you pursue higher curing efficiency, add a peroxide-based thermal crosslinking agent, and it can be cured at medium temperatures above 120°C. Even without additional additives, it can be cured by high-temperature baking above 200°C, adapting to the coating needs of industrial high-temperature equipment.  

Moreover, different curing methods do not affect the core performance of the coating. After curing, its hardness always reaches 6H, and its adhesion (tested by the cross-cut method) is Grade 0—allowing it to adhere firmly to substrates such as metal, ceramics, glass, and plastic without easy peeling. Its oxidation and corrosion resistance remain excellent, effectively protecting the substrate from damage.  

Its low viscosity also adds value to the construction process. With a viscosity of 10-40 cp, the coating has excellent fluidity. Whether it is sprayed on the surface of complex metal parts, dipped onto small components, or brushed on large-area glass, it can cover evenly without uneven thickness. With a linear shrinkage rate of <1%, the cured coating is not prone to cracking or wrinkling and can always maintain a smooth surface.  

In addition to flexible construction, it has a wide range of application scenarios: it can be used as a coating, an adhesive, and also in the production of non-combustible composite materials and polymer-matrix composite materials. For storage, it only needs to be placed in a dry environment at 0°C-20°C, with a shelf life of 1 year in unopened packaging—maximizing ease of use. This coating, with "unrestricted curing methods," frees construction from the constraints of curing conditions and easily meets diverse needs.
